With over 2000 years of civilisation London is said to be one the most haunted cities in the world and bursting at the seams with paranormal activity. Halloween is almost upon us - 'London Calling' has compiled a blood churning agenda just for you:

If you're looking to be chilled and thrilled in London this Halloween then why not go to the Zombie Halloween party on the 31st October at www.infernos.co.uk ? Blood sucking elves, screetching vampire bats, green faced Zombies; there's a L100 bar tab for the best scary costume.

Ghost Festival

London is really getting into the spirit of things this year with a Ghost Festival running from Friday 24 October to 1st November Saturday 2008. Organised by London Ghost hunting group Paranormal. The program includes a horror themed fancy dress ghost hunt; a vampire and ghost walk around Highgate; a talk on ghosts caught on film; an evening of Dickensian ghost stories and a boat trip through the haunted Islington tunnel. Scary night of films, theatre and cocktails

For all things ghostly then head to www.ica.org.uk for a scary night of films, theatre and cocktails. The cinema will show screenings of the Korean cult movie classic 'Bloody Aria,' the British horror flic 'Theatre of Blood' and the Japanese movie 'The Ring.' Late night will be a theatre show described as 'terrifying theatrics.'

The Curzon cinema is organising a Halloween all nighter of top notch horror with 4 spooktastic films that will take you past the witching hour to the first light of dawn. Want to walk with the London ranks of the undead? The Zombie Walk London starts at 2pm Waxy O'Connors, Wardour Street on Saturday, 1st November and will take in 12 other pubs. This is one of the most fun Halloween pub crawls in London.

Special Halloween tour

Richard Jones-author of the best selling book 'Walking Haunted London' and numerous appearances on the Discovery Channel- will be giving a special Halloween tour that will include graveyards, dungeons and an ancient burial ground. Go to www.haunted-britain.com to book your place.

The London Dungeon (www.thedungeons.com ) also have a Halloween festival and are teeming up with the Guniness Book of Records to offer every visitor the chance to take part in record breaks including grisly face painting and screaming competitions as well as experienecing the morbid charms of the London Dungeon.

Scary London Eye

This Halloween, the London Eye (www.londoneye.com ) will play host to a wizards magical laboratory in which all children are asked to become his apprentices for the night and help him to cast spells from the top of the eye.
